Dane County Fair announced their 3rd annual Rockstars in the Ring, a livestock show for youth with an intellectual disability. Participants will have the opportunity to show a pig, rabbit, or sheep. They will be paired up with Dane County Fair youth exhibitor mentors to enhance their experience.
The show will be held on a new day, Saturday July 20th at 2:00 p.m. in the New Holland Pavilion 2 – Showring B at the 2024 Dane County Fair. An afternoon of activities is planned for the participants. It will start with a mentor meet and greet with lunch at 12:00 p.m. There will then be a mentor and show animal review session.
Participants must 8-19 years of age with an intellectual disability. Those interested must pre-register by June 15, 2024 by filling out the Rockstars in the Ring Participation online form. The show is limited to the first 10 participants. Rockstars will receive free admittance to the Fair, lunch, a Rockstars in the Ring T-shirt, and also admission for one guest to accompany the participant. There is no cost to participate.
