Compeer announced the election of Stephanie Wise as Board Chair, Dan Erickson as Vice Chair, and the appointment of Sara Jansen to the organization’s Board of Directors.
Stephanie Wise – Board Chair
Wise, a fifth-generation corn, soybean and popcorn farmer, previously served as Vice Chair on Compeer’s Board. Bringing a wealth of agricultural knowledge, Wise is involved in crop protection product sales and fertilizer sales. She also owns a small grain and milling operation. A graduate of Augustana College with a bachelor’s degree in economics and business administration, she earned an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Wise serves on the Compensation and Governance and Legislative Affairs committees. She has been on the Board since 2015, with her current term set to expire in 2025. Residing in Joliet, Ill., Wise and her husband Christopher pursue hobbies like antiquing, old building renovation, interior organization and decorating, and blogging.
Dan Erickson – Vice Chair
Erickson, a partner in a family farming operation in Alden, Minn., was selected to serve as the Board’s Vice Chair. Self-employed on the farm since obtaining his general agriculture degree from South Dakota State University in 1999, Erickson serves on the Enterprise Risk, Corporate Giving and Legislative Affairs committee, as well as the AgriBank District Farm Credit Council.
With a history of service to the ag community, Erickson was a regional representative for the Minnesota Corn Growers Association from 2006-2017. He also held leadership positions in the Freeborn County Corn and Soybean Growers Association. Beyond agriculture, he actively contributes to his community by volunteering with organizations like the Alden Fire Department, Provide Pals, Alden 4-H, Sons of the American Legion and at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Erickson’s current board term is set to expire in 2025.
Sarah Jansen – Appointed Director
Additionally, Sarah Jansen joins Compeer’s Board of Directors, filling one of three appointed director positions. With over 30 years of experience in information technology and digital transformation, Jansen has worked in Fortune 500 companies in both consumer products and financial services. She currently serves on Compeer Financial’s Enterprise Risk committee.
Jansen earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in management information systems and human resource management and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh. In her most recent position, she held the role of Chief Information Officer at a financial services company. Sarah is a member of the NEW Digital Alliance. She is also president-elect of the board of directors for the Women’s Fund of the Fox Cities. Her current term on Compeer’s Board will expire in 2027.
