Equity Offering Over $16,000 In Scholarships

Equity Cooperative Livestock Sales Association is offering ten $1,250 scholarships for the 2024 school year to university college students, as well as four $1,000 technical college scholarships.

“Equity Livestock is proud to help students further their education by offering scholarships,” says Curt Larson, President/CEO. “Education can make a difference, and the expense to attend college can be a challenge. Offering scholarships can help make it affordable, and we believe in investing in our future leaders.”

Eligibility includes any student who has not previously received an Equity Cooperative Livestock Sales Association scholarship. The student must have completed two or more semesters at an accredited college or university, or at least one semester at a technical college and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale. Either the student, their parents or grandparents must be an active member or employee of Equity. Scholarship winners are chosen based on their scholastic achievements, extracurricular activities and application question responses.

Applications are available on Equity’s website, or by calling 608-356-8311, ext. 152. Applicants are asked to provide completed application, college transcript, a copy of their course schedule and one letter of reference. The application is due November 30, 2023.
