Edge Dairy Farmer Cooperative hired Laura Hensley to lead the company’s communication team. She will help develop and execute the multiple channels of communications to members, lawmakers and other stakeholders.
Hensley brings a wide background in dairy cooperatives and marketing to the organization. She was most recently an account director at C.O.nxt, a marketing agency serving the food and ag space. Previous positions include marketing and public relations roles at GreenStone Farm Credit Services, FLM+ (now Curious Plot) and Michigan Milk Producers Association. Additionally, she owned a communications and consulting business in Michigan. There she worked with a wide range of agricultural associations and commodity organizations.
“I am excited to join this talented team of communicators working on behalf of the association members,” Hensley said. “I have watched with great interest the evolution of Edge Dairy Farmer Cooperative, along with their partner organizations, from the outside. I’m thrilled to help lead the organizations into what is shaping up to be an exciting future for the members.”
Tim Trotter, Edge’s CEO, said Hensley also brings an extensive background in marketing and communications which will bring value to the cooperative as a whole.
Hensley will work between the Green Bay office and her home office in Michigan.
