Wisconsin egg production during July 2023 was 219 million eggs. This is a 50 percent increase from the previous July, according to the latest report from the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service.
The average number of all layers on hand during July 2023 was 8.23 million, also up 50 percent from last year. Eggs per 100 layers for July 2023 was 2,654, up slightly from a year ago.
U.S. egg production totaled 9.37 billion during July 2023, up 3 percent from last year. Total layers in the U.S. on Aug. 1 totaled 385 million, also up 3 percent from last year.
The average number of layers during July 2023 totaled 384 million, up 4 percent from last year. July egg production per 100 layers was 2,438 eggs, down slightly from July 2022.
