Enjoy free family friendly activities and a picnic to learn about pollinators, how local farmers are protecting these important species, and what you can do to help.
The family-friendly event on Thursday, August 3rd, will begin at 4 pm and family groups will rotate to new activity stations every 20 minutes. Activities will be wrapping up by 6:15 pm, then a picnic supper will be served until 7 pm.
Activity stations will include:
Dig into a Soil Pit
See soil and its critters up close. Learn how pollinator plants feed these soil critters and pollinator species.
Create Pollinator Art
Join a local artist to learn about pollinator species and create your own butterfly painting.
Explore a Pollinator Strip
Learn what a pollinator strip is and how farmers use these to protect their soil and our pollinators.
The event will be hosted at one of our Upper Fox-Wolf Demonstration Farms; Dan and Ruth Boerst’s Dairy-Licious Farms in Manawa, Wisconsin.
