Agriculture is increasingly integrated into the everyday lives of the American public. So Professional Dairy Producers says it’s imperative that rural and urban communities see themselves as partners.
To create a forum for open dialogue and offer a firsthand look at the innovations used in dairy production, the 2023 Agricultural Community Engagement — ACE — Twilight Meetings are on the calendar!

John Haag, dairy producer and PDPW board president, says if you’re looking to get involved in the community, attending a meeting is the perfect way to get started.
“Candid conversations with dairy farmers, elected officials, conservation and community leaders open the doors to solving some of the issues we face in Wisconsin,” he says.
The meeting starts with a tour of the host farm at 6 p.m. This gives attendees a firsthand look at how farmers care for their animals. Attendees will also look at the barns and technologies dairy producers use every day. Enjoy ice cream at 7 p.m. with open dialogue about community issues such as water, conservation, roadways and transportation, and education. Meetings end at 8:30 p.m.
