Farmers, agronomists, and conservation professionals are invited to participate in an informative and interactive field day. The field day will be focused on achieving optimum crop yield, water quality, nitrogen, as well as weed management. This event will showcase the benefits of diversified grain crop rotations in increasing resiliency and farm profitability.
The field day will take place on Monday, August 14. Participants will have the opportunity to tour two crop rotation studies featuring corn, soybean, wheat, and alfalfa production practices. These employ innovative techniques such as no-till, tillage, rye cover cropping, ryelage production, and planting green.
Topics covered will address the latest advancements in crop management.
The field day will be held at the Lancaster Agricultural Research Station. The program will begin at 8:30 am and conclude at 12:15 pm. Certified Crop Advisor CEUs have been applied for.

Following the field day, lunch will be provided for farmers and collaborators involved in the Wisconsin DATCP producer-led grant groups. Additionally, there will be a short afternoon Southwestern Wisconsin Producer-led network meeting, enabling participants to network and exchange valuable insights.
