Consumers are inundated with products every time they turn around. Companies must find creative ways to give their products a leg up in the commercial marketplace.
For soybean seed dealers, the Wisconsin Soybean Association’s 2023 Soybean Yield Contest is an opportunity to spotlight their products.
This year, the contest is offering an incentive to seed dealers who enter their customers in the contest. The seed dealer will receive $100 for entering one grower, $200 for entering three growers and $300 for entering five or more growers. To qualify for the incentive, the customer must complete an entry form and a harvest form.
“By entering their customers in the 2023 Soybean Yield Contest, seed dealers have the chance for their varieties to receive recognition when they perform well,” says Wisconsin Soybean Program Manager of Strategic Programs Adam Kask. “Not only are we highlighting the management practices of Wisconsin soybean farmers, but the advanced seed technology that drives our industry.”
Any soybean production system can enter the contest. The contest will select two winners from each of the four geographical divisions in the state. Additional awards in the contest include the Planting Green Award, New Contestant Award and WI 100 Bushel Soybean Club. Contest fields must have at least five contiguous acres. Contestants must be at least 14 years of age on or before Dec. 1.
“Above all, it’s about highlighting Wisconsin’s robust soybean industry,” Kask says.
Postmark entry forms by Aug. 31 to be eligible. Postmark harvest forms by Dec. 1. For more information, please visit https://wisoybean.org/wsa/2023-yield-contest/.
