The Wisconsin 4-H held the inaugural Summer Academy on the UW Madison campus June 19th-22nd. The goal of this event was to provide 4-H members with the opportunity to learn about pathways in different career fields including agriculture, STEM, service leadership, arts, and trades.
The Summer Academy was organized by the Wisconsin Leadership Council. This group is made up of 23 4-H members from across Wisconsin. Four members of the 4-H Leadership council shared some of the experiences that they have had through 4-H and their involvement with the Council.
Emma Wagner of Calumet County shared what attending 4-H members were able to through the Summer Academy.
Evan Numrich of Winnebago revealed that his involvement in 4-H at the state level began at a young age due to his older sisters activity with state 4-H.
Lily Schwartz of Eau Claire County currently serves as the Youth President of the Wisconsin Leadership Council. She lists a few of the responsibilities that come with being a member of the council.
Jacob Adamski of Langlade County explains how he decided to become involved with the Wisconsin Leadership Council.
