The 2023-2024 State FFA Officer Team was elected at the 94th Wisconsin State FFA Convention in Madison. The team consists of 11 officers. Ten officers represent the 10 FFA Sections, and the State FFA President leads the team.
The officers will guide more than 25,000 Wisconsin FFA members through conferences, section workshops, and agricultural business and industry events.
Here are the new state officers who will be representing the 10 sections under State President Mary Schrieber.
Brooke Wittrock – Section 1 State Sentinel from the Bloomer FFA
Brooke did not come from an agricultural background. She joined FFA because she saw the wonderful experiences her sister was able to have as a member. Brooke has a passion for ag education. She hopes that through her role she can help FFA members meet their full potential.
Sophie Koehler – Section 2 State Vice President from the Chippewa Falls FFA
Sophie became very active in FFA early in her high school career. She participated in community service as well as the various Leadership/Career Development Events. She says state officers over the past several years inspired her. That prompted her to run for state office so she could leave a similar impact on other FFA members.
Jescey Thompson – Section 3 State Reporter from the Galesville-Ettrick-Trempealeau FFA
Jescey found a passion advocating for agriculture through his FFA involvement. He decided to make ag education his Supervised Agricultural Experience. He won the Agricultural Education Proficiency at State Convention. His No. 1 priority for the year ahead will be serving members in whatever capacity he can.
Stevie Cobbs – Section 4 State Vice President from the Black Hawk FFA
Stevie was inspired to run for State FFA Office because of competitiveness with her brother who was also in FFA. One of the greatest takeaways from her time as an FFA member has been feeling welcomed and accepted into an organization that is inclusive.
Linsey Mueller – Section 5 State Treasurer from the Albany FFA
Linsey joined FFA in 7th grade because her older siblings were involved. Her Supervised Agricultural Experience is Nursery Operations and she has been working at a greenhouse for the last 3 years to support that experience.
Julia Lenz – Section 6 State Vice President from the Markesan FFA
Julia has been involved in agriculture her whole life because she spent much time on her Grandpa’s dairy farm. She is the first FFA member from Markesan to be elected to State Office in 15 years.
Lizzy Reinart – Section 7 State Vice President from the Granton FFA
Lizzy’s first-ever FFA event was Fall Leadership Workshop as a 7th grade member. This kicked off deep involvement that ranged from serving as a chapter officer and participating in speaking competitions. Lizzy wants to be an advocate for the parts of agriculture that the general public may not be aware of.
Amber Bunnell – Section 8 State Vice President from the Seymour FFA
Amber only became active during her junior year and the began to fully participate in conferences, eventually deciding she wanted to go to college for agricultural education. She wants to bring more inclusivity to the organization because she believes agriculture is for everyone.
Amy Jentges -Section 9 State Secretary from the Random Lake FFA
Amy was only able to receive agricultural education and participate in FFA by going to the Random Lake school district as there were not any schools in her home county of Ozaukee that offered it. She is most looking forward to making one on one connections with members, supporters, and other stakeholders.
Henry Koerner – Section 10 State Parliamentarian from the Big Foot FFA
Henry brings a diverse background of FFA experiences to his state officer team including serving as a delegate to the National FFA Convention in last year and wining the Star in Agriscience at this years Wisconsin FFA Convention. He credits past state officers who pushed him to believe in himself for feeling qualified to run for state office.
