The Cooperative Communicators Association’s annual institute was in Portland, Maine last week. The CCA’s Michael Graznak Award went to Anne Moore of Edge Dairy Farmer Cooperative. Moore is the sustainability communications Manager for the cooperative.
The long-running award is named for the late Michael Graznak, a cooperative communicator. Graznak supported cooperatives and was very involved in CCA. During the course of many decades, 45 CCA members have been honored in his memory.
One of the award recommendation letters said Moore always makes everyone feels included on a team, and helps others let their ideas be heard, said Kelly Jimenez of Carroll EMC in Georgia.
“She has been responsible for wearing numerous hats at her cooperative,” Jimenez says. “These include managing the website, social-media, e-mail, and serving as the public-relations liaison. Moore also has an active role in CCA, being a member of the board of directors, and recognized in the Communications Contest.”
Next year’s winners will be announced at the CCA Annual Institute June 2-4, 2024 in Des Moines, Iowa.
