The Wisconsin Beef Improvement Association Central Bull Test Sale on Saturday sold 61 bulls, and each bull and averaged $4,100 per head.
WBIA says this sale average was a little better than last year’s sale, and the bar moves higher each year. The buyers continue to like the bulls that the consignors entered into our test and sale.

Specific Breed Information
The top selling bull and the top selling Angus bull are the same bull and were consigned by Kori Beisbier
from Reedsburg, WI. Beisbier’s bull, lot # 6, a Deer Valley Growth Fund son sold for $7,500 to James
Hitchens, from Lansing, IA. The next high selling Angus bull was consigned by Andy and Amy Strasburg
from Marshall, WI. Their bull, a Connealy Clarity son, sold for $6,250. Greg Van Nata is the proud owner
of that bull.
Double A Simmentals from Janesville, WI sold the top two priced Simmental bulls at the sale. Lot # 18
sold for $6,400 to Scott Grantz, Bryant, Iowa. This bulls sire was a KBHR Sniper E036 son. Lot # 5 was
the second high selling bull. THSF Lover Boy B33 was the sire of this second high selling Simmental bull.
Will Cornelius from Bellevue, IA is the new owner of Lot # 5.
The two top selling Red Angus bulls were consigned by PADO Farms, Cascade, WI. The Paul Habeck
Family sold Lot # 48, a Thomas Jefferson son to Proctor Farms, Durand, IL. Two Red Angus bulls sold
for $4,250. PADO Farms consigned one of them, a Bieber CL Stockman E116 son went to Framvale
Farm, Blanchardville, WI, owned by Pete Leonard. The other bull was consigned by UW Pioneer Farm
from Platteville, WI, Lot # 55 sold for the same amount to Charles Atten, Cuba City, WI. He purchased a
TMAS MS Preacher 906G son.
Lundell Family Cattle, Livingston, WI sold the two top selling Simmental Angus Composite bulls. Lot # 7
a WBF Black Hawk H021 son sold for $6,000 to Tony Bomkamp from Muscoda, WI. Jeff Voss, Morrison,
IA purchased the second high selling Simmental Cross bull, a WBF Limit UP H046 son. He sold for
$4,500.
Caleb and Alissa Ahrens, Monroe, WI consigned the top selling Hereford bull a CMA 6964 Crown Royal
1801 son for $4,000 to Shannon Wolf Family from Lancaster, WI. Bulls # 61 and # 68 were consigned by
the late Bill Graber and his siter Cheryl Graber. From Mineral Point, WI. Both bulls are going to Fulton, IL.
Andy Toppert paid $3,750 for each bull. They were full brothers out of CH High Roller 756.
Lot # 67 the only Charolais bull in the test was consigned by the late Bill Graber as well. This bull was
sold to Darren Luchsinger from Monticello, Wisconsin. Darren paid $3,750 for the AHAA YETL 183F son.
