The Jefferson County Soil Builders group is inviting farmers and those with an interest in learning more about soil conservation practices to join them at their upcoming educational event.
The Jefferson County Soil Builders are a group of farmers whose vision is to inspire other farmers to keep soil in place, nutrients in the field, and waters clean. The group is hosting their next “Shop Talk” event on January 11th at 6:00 pm. Tom Novak, a founding member of the Soil Builders and owner of Total Crop Management, will be speaking about how cover crops and no-till fit into the economics of crop production. The group will host an open discussion following the talk.
The Shop Talk event is being hosted by Scott Shultz. The gathering will be held at UPDATE- W6334 West Rd in Watertown. An RSVP is required by January 9th in order to determine how much pizza to order. Please RSVP with the Jefferson County Land and Water Conservation Department at 920-674-7110 or [email protected].
