ALCIVIA and Consumers Cooperative have agreed to terms for the sale of ALCIVIA’s 16 convenience stores (C-Stores) across Wisconsin to Consumers Cooperative and have executed a purchase agreement. The closing date of the transaction will be announced shortly.
“It is critical to ALCIVIA and our members that we strongly focus on the support, strategic vision, growth, and ongoing improvements of our core businesses,” says Jim Dell, ALCIVIA CEO and president. “By improving our operational efficiencies, introducing innovation, investing in facilities and assets, and introducing new products and services in animal nutrition, agronomy, energy, grain, input financing, and technology, we can ensure ALCIVIA’s continued success.”
Consumers Cooperative CEO and General Manager Eric Cantwell echoed Dell’s excitement for the partnership.
“This is a fantastic growth opportunity for our cooperative in an area where we have found great success,” he says. “With our retail expertise and desire to improve facilities, products, and services, coupled with our focus on our customers and the communities we serve, ensures a smooth transition and bright future for these stores.”
ALCIVIA is a member-owned agricultural and energy cooperative in Wisconsin and serving farm, business, and retail customers in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, and Iowa.
Consumers Cooperative was incorporated in 1927 as a Wisconsin Member Cooperative and was created by the early farmers of Sauk Prairie to provide the community with petroleum products.
