Get ready to soar above the rest at Dairy Managers Institute, put on by Professional Dairy Producers. This two-day training on Dec. 20-21 in the Wisconsin Dells, will grow team managers into team leaders.
With three tiers to choose from, participants will gain the skills necessary to lead and manage a team in today’s dairy industry. In addition, tier one and tier two will offer simultaneous Spanish translation for members who prefer to learn in their native language.

Up to 14.0 CEs in Dairy AdvanCE (DACE) for tier three
Tier one is focused on leading and managing with insight. Dr. Becky Stewart-Gross will provide participants with the practical skills to manage change starting with: identifying their leading and managing strengths and weaknesses; recognizing the difference between the skills of a leader and a manger; and understanding how change affects others.
Tier two is about the art of coaching. Building on concepts from tier one, Michael Hoffman kicks it up a notch in tier two. Participants will learn how to transform their team culture by: creating strategic approaches for management conversations; determining how to create a greater sense of ownership and involvement by all team members; and understanding how to deliver meaningful feedback.
And tier three focuses on mastering financials and negotiations. New in 2022 is tier three. In this training, Dr. Kevin Bernhardt and Linda Swindling will help participants master finances and negotiations. Participants will sharpen their business acumen through: understanding their dairy’s break-even mark and how to calculate a cost-benefit; exploring different negotiation styles and how to leverage them in discussions; recognizing when to walk away and when to compromise; and mastering the principle elements of debt and how it works.
Costs for the Dairy Managers Institute is $600 for PDPW members and $775 for non-members. Each addition participant pays $500.
