Christine Bender, a Watertown Dairy farmer, joins us to talk about hosting one of the four 2022 Agriculture Community Engagement (ACE) Twilight Meetings at her family’s dairy farm. Christine shares that these events are meant to be a proactive approach to bring together community stakeholders and leaders to not only discuss farming but also to help educate the non farm public about agriculture.
These events each include a farm tour, ice cream social and informal conversation among attendees. Free to attend, and open to the public, the events are sponsored by Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin, Wisconsin Towns Association, Wisconsin Counties Association, and new to the program this year, Pheasants Forever.
The 2022 ACE Twilight Meetings are happening this week and are being held on dairy farms in Vernon, Buffalo, Clark and Dodge Counties August 29, 30, 31 and Sept. 1, respectively. Host farms will include:

Wed., Aug. 31, at JTP Farms, W1202 County Rd. A, Dorchester, Wis. Hosted by Jake and Tolea Peissig.
Thur., Sept. 1, at McFarlandale Dairy LLC, N302 County Rd. K, Watertown, Wis. Hosted by Peter and Cindy McFarland and Christine and Robb Bender.
