Not only will you find maple syrup bottled in all shapes and sizes at the Wisconsin State Fair Products Pavilion, but you can also get your hands on maple cotton candy, maple popcorn, maple mustard, maple root beer, and much more.
Visit with Wisconsin Maple Syrup Producers Association members at Wisconsin State Fair Aug. 4-14 in West Allis at the Products Pavilion. Celebrating a successful year at the Wisconsin State Fair highlighting many ways to incorporate maple syrup is a tradition for the WMSPA. Wisconsin ranks fourth in the nation for maple syrup production.
“The Wisconsin State Fair provides the WMSPA the opportunity to showcase the ‘Blue Ribbon’ and all-natural maple syrup to fairgoers,” says Theresa Baroun, WMSPA executive director. “They even get the
chance to sample fresh maple cotton candy that’s aroma can be smelt through the Wisconsin Products
Pavilion.”
Producers will be serving maple products from across the state at the booth. Fairgoers will also have the chance to ask questions about the Wisconsin-made product and how to get started. WMSPA cookbooks and maple-related coloring books will also be available for everyone in the family to enjoy.
The products sold must receive a blue ribbon at the WMSPA Annual Meeting and Maple Syrup Judging. Maple syrup was judged on density of sugar content, color, flavor and clarity.
Special demonstrations happening on the stage in the building are on August 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14 at 11 a.m.
