The latest agricultural prices report shows only corn and soybean prices increased in June compared to May, according to USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service.
The average price received by Wisconsin in June was $7.05 per bushel. This was 14 cents above the May price and $1.40 above June 2021.
The average price for soybeans, at $16.10 per bushel, was 20 cents above the May price and $1.60 above last year’s price.
Meanwhile, the average oat price in June per bushel was $5.31, 54 cents below May. However, it was $2.04 higher than the same time last year.
All hay prices averaged $144 per ton in June, $14 below the May price and $29 below last year’s price. The June alfalfa hay price, at $150, was $18 below the previous month and $33 below June 2021. The average price received for other hay during June was $111 per ton. This was $17 below the May price and $7 below June last year.
The Wisconsin all milk price for June was $26.20 per hundredweight. This was $1.20 below last month’s price but $7.80 above last June’s price. And Wisconsin milk prices are below average. The U.S. all milk price for June was $26.90 per cwt, 70 cents higher than Wisconsin’s price but 40 cents lower than last month’s U.S. price.
