The Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center will celebrate their fourth anniversary with activities, animals, special guests and food samples July 28 through July 30. Access to the anniversary weekend events are included in regular admission to Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center – and kids get in FREE all weekend, when accompanied by a paying adult.
Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center Program Manager, Abigail Winkel, says its, “Perfect for anyone from the age of 2 all the way up to 102!”
All three days, you can try your hand at butter making. Thanks to Pine River Dairy, guests have the opportunity to learn about the process of making butter and enjoy samples. On Friday, different breeds of goats, including the popular fainting goats will be in attendance from Brost Family Farm in Walworth County.
Special events for Saturday include the opportunity to visit with Miss Farm Bureau-Manitowoc County, as she demonstrates the behind the scenes of making mud. Guests will learn how rainfall affects soil all around us. Additionally, there will be a 4-H Project Showcase where attendees can meet and learn about 4-H projects.
Winkel says, “The weekend’s events are just as diverse as the agriculture industries they will highlight. We hope you’ll join us as we dive into animal care, food production, soil science and more.”
