The Professional Dairy Producers Foundation (PDPF) is seeking a full-time Director of Development. Also known as Dairy’s Foundation, PDPF is the only foundation awarding funds and grants exclusively to dairy-centric programs to benefit communities inside and outside the dairy industry.
The director of development must have superb relationship-management skills, demonstrate emotional acuity and the ability to listen to, understand and meaningfully engage donors, volunteers and board members from diverse backgrounds and with various perspectives. In addition to creativity and problem-solving skills, excellent written and oral communications skills, and attention to detail and accuracy are necessary.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of demonstrated success as a front-line development officer with a proven track record of personally cultivating, soliciting, closing and stewarding major gifts. The ability to build and maintain an active portfolio comprised of qualified prospects and donors is required. Must be mission driven, motivated, and highly organized, as well as self-directed and focused on meeting and exceeding metric driven visit, proposal, and financial goals.
