Whether you’re moving back home or to the country for a change in scenery, more and more families are returning to their roots in rural areas.
Deb Brown, one of the partners who created SaveYour.Town, says that housing is the biggest challenge for people moving to rural communities. She says there are plenty of jobs available, but there is a constant struggle with finding and creating housing opportunities.
Cooperatives and other organizations have remained engaged in the conversations surrounding small towns, specifically as it relates to broadband access. Deb says that a town that is open to new ideas, like broadband, is one that grows.
