Lodi FFA Alumni To Host Farm Toy Show

The Lodi FFA Alumni Association is hosting a Toy Show on Sunday, March 13, from 9am to 3pm, at the Top of Lodi, 103 Pleasant St., Lodi, Wis. There will be a Kiddie Pedal Tractor Pull at 11am. Toy and craft vendors and display tables can still register until February 28. See www.lodiffaalumni.com for more details and registration information.

“My favorite part of the show is seeing the variety of toys and the displays some of the folks put together,” says Darryl Buchanan, Lodi FFA Alumni member and Toy Show Committee Co-Chair. “You can expect to see all different makes and models of machinery and vehicles. Different scales sizes, from 1/16 to 1/32, and 1/64.”

There will be a variety of farm toys and model tractors, with vintage toys and signs, crafts and, of course, a food stand run by the FFA Alumni. Admission is $3 for adults, kids 12 and under are free. Every paid admission will be given a ticket for a chance to win door prizes. Kids can test their skill in the kiddie tractor pull, seeing how far they can pull a weight sled on a pedal tractor.

“We’re looking forward to bringing this event back. I personally enjoy seeing all the old and new toys, as well as seeing neighbors and friends and getting to chat with everyone again,” says Kyle Kurt, Lodi FFA Alumni Vice President. “We will have a food stand at the show and a raffle for a barn along with a few other raffle items. All proceeds will go to the Lodi FFA Alumni.”

Funds raised from Lodi FFA Alumni events are used to help support our schools’ agricultural programs and assist with FFA students’ development activities, such as speaking contests and career-development events.

The Lodi FFA Alumni Association is a non-profit organization. For more information on how to join, please contact us at www.lodiffaalumni.com.

About Pam Jahnke

Getting up at 2 in the morning might shock some of her listeners, but for Pam Jahnke, it’s part of the business. Born in Northeastern Wisconsin, Pam Jahnke grew up in agriculture. Raised on her family’s 200-acre dairy farm, she learned the “farm work ethic” first hand.
