The Wisconsin Beef Council is searching for it’s second wave of Beef Ambassadors, who will provide grassroots advocacy for all things Wisconsin beef.
Kaitlyn Riley, Director of Communications & Outreach for the Wisconsin Beef Council, says that ambassadors must pinpoint at least two in person opportunities to talk about beef, and post original beef related content on social media at least two times a month. It is preferred that ambassadors have a direct farm connection, but it is not required.
She says that although staff at the Beef Council has knowledge about the industry, talking directly to producers through the ambassador program provides benefits for Wisconsin consumers who have questions about farm to fork and everything in between.
Interested applicants are encouraged to find more information at https://www.beeftips.com/cattlemens-corner/monthly-checkoff-updates. Applications are due by February 18th, and the newly-selected team will be invited to a mandatory training near the Wisconsin Beef Council office in Verona March 31-April 1. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
