Shine Light On Your Farm’s Energy Options

Renewable energy is here to stay, and can help your farm diversity income and better plan for the next generation.

Brendan Conway, Media Relations Manager for WEC Energy Group, says that in communities where solar is new, there are always questions. That’s why their company is committed to being transparent, open, and diligent.

Conway says that oftentimes the most skeptical people are their biggest supporters for those reasons.

WEC Energy Group has introduced new projects for 2022, including three solar farms in Wisconsin that will connect solar energy to large scale batteries. During the day, they will generate solar power and he says any excess power, instead of going to the main grid and being lost, can be stored in the battery.

He says they plan to invest $3.5 billion in renewable energy sources like these within the next few years.
