Ballweg Encourages Farmers To Speak Up

Workforce continues to be a challenge for the agriculture industry, but there has been some relief for meat processors due to recent investments made at the State level.

Senator Joan Ballweg, who is the Committee Chair for Agriculture and Tourism, says there are opportunities to talk to representatives about your concerns like those surrounding the meat industry, and it’s not just for those who are directly involved in agriculture.

One event that facilitates these conversations well is Ag Day at the Capitol. Senator Ballweg says that virtually every commodity group and farm group is asking individuals to engage, and this is a great opportunity to do so.

Ag Day at the Capitol will be held on Wednesday, January 26th at the Monona Terrace Center in Madison. Visit the Wisconsin Farm Bureau website for more information.
