Wisconsin is currently seeing a 2.8% unemployment rate, but farmers are still struggling to find employees and are being impacted by inflation and supply chain disruptions.
Governor Tony Evers says that in order to help solve some of the employment issues our farmers are seeing, we have to take a look at what happens at the national level and how immigration will play a role.
Moving forward into 2022, he says that the legislature is working on putting together a robust budget to push us forward as a state, including designating state dollars towards dairy and programs that support farmer mental health.
