As we transition into fall, you better dig out your sweaters and head to your local apple orchards. Wisconsin has about 300 orchards throughout the state. Most Wisconsin orchards are open late August through late October or mid-November. Wisconsin apple orchards are a great place to learn and support the Wisconsin apple industry and to enjoy all things apple. Not only are there apples, but most orchards also provide games, recreational activities, retail stores, wagon rides, tours and much more.
In Eau Claire, WI we are fortunate to have Ferguson’s Orchards in our area. There is nothing short of fun at Ferguson’s! Some of the special attractions at Ferguson’s include a “Cow Train,” duck races and apple cannons. The orchard is a great family friendly location to visit in the fall.
