Might be a strange influence for taking care of my skin but my grandparents were always big on wearing sunscreen. We’d spend time at their farm in the summer working our fair pigs, doing chores or even helping pick rock. They’d always make sure we had a half frozen bottle of water to put water in, a hat and sunscreen.
Fast forward quite a few years and here I am always telling my dairy-farming husband he needs to at least put sunscreen on his ears. You can see the tan lines from his baseball cap he wears all summer long. I may not be able to make him wear it everyday but I sure do!
Whether it’s out helping with chores at the farm or spending some time on the lake and at our camper, I make sure to have sunscreen with. I love the La Roche-Posay face sunscreen. I haven’t broke out from using it all day long and under my makeup. Now let’s also not forget about our lips. They can use the SPF too. Tubby Todd’s is moisturizing yet protective. Lastly, Neutrogena spray sunscreen seems to work great and not be too sticky.
Staying hydrated also helps our skin too. The Liquid IV packets are amazing. I’ve found they help with Charlie Horses from my pregnancy.
As we enjoy a weekend away from the farm, you can bet I will have my sunscreen packed!
