2020 has been a year of uncertainty and stress for the world. By taking precautions seriously and making adjustments creatively, Schuster’s Farm will remain a place of laughter and liveliness during these times.
All the favorite fall treats (cider donuts, caramel apples, pumpkin cake…) will still be available at the farm. To eliminate indoor waiting spaces, bakery items will be purchased through windows. In addition, for those looking for low/no contact, bakery items will be available for curbside pick up through online ordering. On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays curbside pumpkin & produce pick up will also be available.
Schuster’s Farm has produced five educational videos about fall farm life for virtual field trips since school children are not able to visit the farm for fall field trips. For schools that are meeting in person, Schuster’s will be offering pumpkin delivery to area schools.
In response to many schools in the area not having full day classes on Wednesdays, Wednesdays are now part of the Weekend at Schuster’s Farm with weekend farmtractions open from noon to 6:00 pm every Wednesday!
The pumpkin patch is an easy stroll this year so guests can mosey to the patch to pick their perfect pumpkin. The beautiful wagon rides will continue to be offered but will not stop in the pumpkin patch but instead be a relaxed opportunity to enjoy the beautiful fall countryside. Our large wagons are perfect to make social distancing easy.
The farm is paying close attention to the number of guests to ensure wide outdoor spaces. Weekend visits in October may require online timed tickets.
For added safety measures, all farmhands will be wearing masks on the farm and hand washing and sanitizer stations have been added all over the farm.
Keeping the farm safe is a team effort, and Schuster’s are asking guests to help all stay safe.
- Please do not come to the farm when you are unhealthy or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19.
- Masks are required while in line and when making purchases, on wagon rides, and whenever you are within 6ft of others from outside your household.
- Practice social distancing at all times.
All nighttime activities (Haunted Forest and Flashlight Corn Maze) will only be sold as online timed tickets. For the greatest safety of our spooks and guests, masks are required for the full Haunted Forest experience.
In order to provide a safe place for this fun with the current health situation, Schuster’s are implementing these changes on the farm. A community effort will keep Schuster’s Farm a safe place to get your favorite fall treats and pumpkins while continuing family traditions. Fall 2020 season at Schuster’s Farm begins on September 19th and is open daily through November 1st. www.SchustersFarm.com
