Kaitlin Konder of Glenwood City already has been a statewide leadership position during her young life, having served as a Wisconsin FFA state officer. Now, she’s one of the finalists to be selected as Wisconsin’s 2020-2021 Alice in Dairyland.
The latest Alice in Dairyland will be selected during live-streamed selection programs from Walworth County. Konder is one of four WAXX 104.5-area finalists who are being featured on the WAXX Midwest Farm Report.
“It has definitely been a dream of mine to become ‘Alice,'” said Konder, who last week started a new job at Compeer Financial.
She first met an Alice in Dairyland while showing cattle as a youth, and said she admired the promotional leadership role.
Alice in Dairyland is a paid promotional position through the state Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.
The other three WAXX-area finalists will be featured on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. WAXX farm director Bob Bosold interviewed Konder for today’s program:
