The Midwest Farm Report welcomes all of your stories about how communities, families, groups, companies – are showing their support of all Wisconsin farmers! Please continue to share them any way you can. We’ll pass them along as quickly as we can.
Here’s another story. This from the agriculture instructor and FFA advisor in Waupun!
Pam,
This week the Waupun FFA and FFA Alumni partnered to pledge $3,000 worth of dairy product purchases to distribute locally. Next week every person who gets a school lunch will have yogurt added in that lunch every day!We also purchased 100 “Support Dairy” signs to distribute free of charge throughout our community. We ordered another 200 signs within 12 hours!
Yesterday afternoon I received a call from a member of our community who was interested in partnering with us to donate 1,000 gallons of milk to be distributed in our school district next Friday! We are still coordinating the details, but are thrilled with what we can do when we all work together.Photos and video are tough to get right now due to social distancing concerns. I do have these photos to share of Alexa Kuhn, Waupun FFA Officer with our Support Dairy Signs. I will update you with the 1,000 gallon Dairy Drive Thru once we have all details confirmed!
Thanks for all you do to share the agriculture industry with everyone! You are ESSENTIAL!!!
