2019 Corn Estimates
The Wisconsin District recording the highest corn for grain production in 2019 was the South Central District with 118 million bushels according to estimates released by the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. Rock County was the largest corn producing county with 27.0 million bushels. Grant, Dane, Lafayette, and Dodge rounded out the top five.
Rock led all counties in Wisconsin with a county average yield of 199.7 bushels per acre. Grant (198.3), Lafayette (196.6), Iowa (192.4), and Green (189.2) Counties rounded out the top five. Ten counties exceeded the 180 bushel per acre yield mark.

2019 Soybean Estimates
In 2019, farmers in Rock County led the State in soybean production with 4.77 million bushels according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. Dane (3.86 million), Dodge (3.46 million), Grant (3.30 million), and Lafayette (3.24 million) rounded out the top five highest production counties.
Two districts had yields averaging over 50.0 bushels per acre, led by the South Central District, where the average soybean yield was 53.2 bushels per acre, followed by the Southwest District at 52.5 bushels per acre. The North Central District had the lowest yield, averaging 36.8 bushels per acre. Statewide, eight counties averaged over 50.0 bushels per acre, led by Lafayette County, where soybeans averaged 59.4 bushels per acre. Rock (58.0), Grant (55.4), Dane (54.5), and Green (54.4) rounded out the top 5 yields. Rusk County recorded the lowest yield at 30.3 bushels per acre.
