Members of 4-H clubs in four northwest Wisconsin counties will benefit from a golf tournament in June.
The 16th annual Northwest 4-H Golf Classic will be June 8 at Kilkarney Hills Golf Course at River Falls.
Missy Hazen, general leader of Dunn County’s Rock Falls Rockets 4-H Club and a member of the tournament’s organizing committee, said the tournament has been a major annual fundraiser for clubs in all the counties: Dunn, Pierce, Polk and St. Croix.
Fees to participate in the tournament is $85; four-person team registration costs $340; other donation and sponsorship levels are available. The fees include a buffet lunch and dinner.
Besides the golf tournament, the day includes a silent auction, driving and putting events and other contests. Registration opens at 10:30 a.m., and there’s a noon shotgun start.
Information about the tournament is available by calling Hazen at 715-495-3326 or through the four counties’ University of Wisconsin-Extension offices.
