Eau Claire County’s new University of Wisconsin-Extension agent has started work.
Lyssa Seefeldt started the job last week at the county UW-Extension office in Altoona.
The new agent will have an emphasis on dairy cattle and production. She replaces Mark Hagedorn, who earlier this year left the position to become the UW-Extension’s state dairy-programs coordinator.
Seefeldt was raised on a Marathon County farm in the Unity area, and graduated from Colby High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree from UW-River Falls and a master’s degree from South Dakota State University.
Before being hired for the Eau Claire position, Seefeldt worked for 6½ years as the Marquette County UW-Extension agent.
