A Colby High School senior has earned the Pat Keliher Scholarship, presented annually by WAXX radio in cooperation with Westconsin Credit Union to a west-central Wisconsin graduating senior.
Keliher was a long-time WAXX farm director.
The recipient, Katrina Kolzow, plans to attend the University of Wisconsin-River Falls to study agricultural market communications and Spanish. She received the $500 scholarship from WAXX farm director Bob Bosold during the recent WAXX Farmers’ Appreciation Banquet at Bloomer.
Other finalists and their post-graduation plans are:
– Kevin Kitchen, Augusta High School, agribusiness at UW-River Falls.
– Brooke Welke, Osseo-Fairchild High School, animal science (meat-animal emphasis) and agribusiness, UW-River Falls.
– Catherine Krance, Barron High School, dairy science (management emphasis), UW-River Falls.
– Jacob Maier, Chippewa Falls High School, agribusiness, UW-River Falls.
