Tauchen Presented Distinguished Legislator Award By Pork Producers

The Wisconsin Pork Association presented Representative Gary Tauchen with their 2018 Distinguished Legislator Award during their annual convention. As a staunch voice for Wisconsin agriculture, Representative Tauchen knows farming because he is a farmer. Representative Tauchen is also a leader in several organizations including Wisconsin Farm Bureau, Badger AgVest, Wisconsin Livestock Identification Consortium, Cooperative Resources International, Ag Source Cooperative and University of Wisconsin Center for Dairy Profitability along with several others. Representative Tauchen served as chair or vice chair for most of those organizations so it is no surprise that he will chair the Assembly Ag Committee for the 2019-2020 Legislative Session. Representative Tauchen will serve as vice chair on the State Affairs committee. In addition, he is a member of the Energy & Utilities, Family Law, International Affairs and Commerce and Tourism committees. Representative Tauchen continues to be a voice for Wisconsin Agriculture and we appreciate all of his efforts to ensure Wisconsin’s pork industry remains vibrant.

About Pam Jahnke

Getting up at 2 in the morning might shock some of her listeners, but for Pam Jahnke, it’s part of the business. Born in Northeastern Wisconsin, Pam Jahnke grew up in agriculture. Raised on her family’s 200-acre dairy farm, she learned the “farm work ethic” first hand.
