Farm Services Agency offices across the country will re-open for
business starting Jan. 24.
U.S. Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue made the announcement
on Jan. 22.
Perdue also said the new deadline for farmers to apply for the Market
Facilitation program, which helps farmers hurt by tariffs, has been extended until Feb. 14.
The new schedule of FSA hours is Mondays through Fridays through
Feb. 8 and then, if the federal government is still shut down, offices will be open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
