President Trump has expressed optimism about a possible trade deal with China following a weekend telephone conversation with the Chinese president.
Trump said the leaders talked about a comprehensive deal that would cover all subjects and areas of dispute. The Chinese president told the Chinese media that he and the President Trump agreed to work toward stable progress on many issues as the relationship between the countries is at a “vital stage.”
The U.S. is sending a trade delegation to China this month in an atttempt to reach agreements that would end tariffs so the Chinese would again buy U.S. soybeans.
