The next Wisconsin Fairest of the Fairs and Alice in Dairyland soon will be named.
Forty-two candidates will compete to become the next Fairest of the Fairs at next week during the 53rd annual Wisconsin Association of Fairs convention. The convention will be Sunday through Wednesday in Wisconsin Dells.
The state Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection also is starting the process of selecting the 72nd Alice in Dairyland. Potential candidates for the position have until Feb. 4 to submit applications to the department.
The Alice in Dairyland position pays $45,000 for the year and includes benefits. Applicants need to be at least 21 years old, have experience in communications, be female and be a Wisconsin resident.
The new Alice in Dairyland will be chosen May 9-11 in Green County.
