The Wisconsin Dairy Task Force 2.0 recently announced recommendations it’s gathered in attempts to bolster Wisconsin’s dairy industry.
The recommendations include expanding a state-guaranteed loan program for farmers, and the development of dairy centers at some University of Wisconsin system schools.
Mark Stephenson, director of dairy analysis at the UW-Madison, talked about the recommendations and other progress the task force has made. Stephenson said he expects the work of the gubernatorial-appointed group to continue after Governor-elect Tony Evers takes office in January.
