Wolf Management Listening Sessions Continue

The Wisconsin Wildlife Federation, WI Association of Sporting Dogs, and WI Wolf Facts are sponsoring a second Wolf Management Plan Listening and Sharing Session on Saturday, April 22. The session will take place from 11am – 2:30pm at the Railroad Ave. Community Center in Prentice (Price County) WI.

This is the second in a series, the first held in Solon Springs, which was a big success.  These sessions are being recorded and sent to Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) staff.  DNR staff are invited as listeners.

“Rural people have not been as involved in wolf management, yet they are frequently experiencing contact with wolves and have much to contribute to sensible wolf management plans,” says Laurie Groskopf of the Wisconsin Association of Sporting Dogs. “Farmers, hunters, and rural people with stories to share are invited to this informal session.”

The session will allow people from all over Wisconsin the opportunity to make public comments and share stories that relate to the impact wolves have on them. They can publicly comment on the wolf situation in Wisconsin.

To join the session via Zoom, email Laurie at [email protected].
