Wisconsin officials will travel to UW- River Falls on Monday, June 25 to celebrate the declaration of Wisconsin Cheese Day. The University of Wisconsin-River Falls will be one of a few select locations across the state hosting a visit for Wisconsin Cheese Day.
The visit begins at 9:45 a.m. in the UWRF Dairy Pilot Plant, Room 158 Food Science Addition.
DATCP Secretary Sheila Harsdorf, WEDC Vice President Vincent Rice, Senator Patty Schachtner and a representative of the Dairy Business Association will be in attendance.
During the visit, UW-River Falls leadership will be recognized for their contributions to the cheese industry and the state’s economy and an update on plans to renovate the campus’s dairy pilot plant will be provided.
The event is open to the public. Attendees should park in Pay Lot 1/Lot Q at the corner of E. Cascade Avenue and 2nd Street. You will then be directed to the event from the lot.
