Years in the making, a new Meat Sciences building is currently being constructed on the UW Campus in Madison. Dr. Jeff Sindelar joined Bryant recently to talk about the progress that is being made on the construction of the new building. Sindelar explains that the buildings will allow Wisconsin to continue its rich tradition of being pioneers in meat science as well as innovators when it comes to food safety. As Jeff explains meat production and processing is huge in Wisconsin, it accounts for the fifth largest sector in economic activity here in the state.
Sindelar said that the building that is being built now will allow for a space that many different disciplines on the campus can interact and learn from each other, which is right in line with the Wisconsin Idea.
