FarmFirst Dairy Cooperative is powered by its membership, and wants to provide the leadership opportunities that will establish a bright, strong future for years to come. The main focus of this program is to develop future cooperative leaders. Active members in the YC program will have the opportunity to participate in farm tours, plant tours, industry events, and educational sessions among many others. To be eligible to be a member of the Young Cooperator Program you must be between the ages of 18 and 40 and you must be actively involved on a FarmFirst Dairy Cooperative Member farm. The newly elected Chairperson of the Young Cooperators steering Committee is Janet Clark she and her husband Travis Milk 135 Holstein Cows in the Fond Du Lac area. Her family’s operation is a partnership with family members.
Janet wanted to gain leadership and knowledge and that’s why she joined the Young Cooperators Program and had recently been elected to be the chairperson of the new Steering Committee of that program. You can hear Janet and Bryant’s Interview Below
