Harvested acres in 2022 were reported at 66,500, down 1,000 acres from the previous year. Average yield per acre, at 400 hundredweight, was down 7 percent from the previous year. Price per hundredweight, at $15.60, was $2.60 above 2021. Total value of production of the state&#8217;s potato crop was $415 million in 2022, up 10 percent from 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the other top-producing potato states, Idaho and North Dakota also saw a drop in planted potato acres between 2021 and 2022.
