Each spring, farmers go out to the field, plant a tiny seed and then wait. Wait for the rain, wait for sun, wait until harvest. It\u2019s tough on your body and it\u2019s a challenge mentally. Balancing the different aspects of the job can be stressful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
But AgrAbility of Wisconsin wants to help farmers continue to FARM ON successfully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Join AgrAbility at Carl F. Statz & Sons on Highway 19 in Waunakee on Jan. 14 for the first annual \u2018FARM ON!\u2019 event. At 10 a.m. Pam Janke, Fabulous Farm Babe and Farm Director of the Mid-West Farm Report Network, will kick off the event with a welcome. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wisconsin Farm Center staff will be on site with resources for farmers and farm families regarding stress and mental health, as well as AgrAbility staff on hand to share tips about equipment and tools to help you farm safely and lessen the wear and tear on your body and overcome physical limitations and injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Statz & Sons and get the word out,\u201d says Brian Luck, director of AgrAbility of Wisconsin. \u201cWinter is a good time to evaluate your needs for the upcoming year. Come by and see what there is, see what AgrAbility does, and hear how the Wisconsin Farm Center is reaching out to growers in our state.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Visitors can demo a few pieces of adaptive equipment on site. Participants at the event can enter to win tickets to see Reba McEntire at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee on March 17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere\u2019s staying healthy physically and there\u2019s staying healthy mentally. They are connected, and both are very important.
