Holstein Association USA Offers Internship Opportunities

Holstein Association USA Offers Internship Opportunities
Holstein Association USA and Holstein Foundation are now accepting applications for two paid summer internships. The Digital Content and Communications Intern will gain hands-on experience creating multimedia content while telling the stories of Registered Holstein breeders and highlighting the programs and services offered by Holstein Association USA. The Holstein Foundation Youth Programs Intern will gain experience in youth development and event planning, while supporting educational opportunities for young people in the dairy industry. Applications for both internships are due October 31, 2026.
Running from mid-May through mid-August 2027, both paid internships are based in Brattleboro, Vermont. Furnished housing in the area is provided for the duration of the internship. The internships provide students with professional experience, mentorship from experienced industry professionals, and opportunities to build valuable skills and connections that can support future careers in agriculture, communications, education, and the dairy industry.

Digital Content and Communications Intern

The Holstein Association USA Digital Content and Communications Intern will gain experience creating and managing digital content across multiple platforms. The intern will help create engaging digital content through social media, photography, video production, podcast development, website updates, email communications, written content, and event coverage, gaining experience with the communication tools and platforms used by today’s organizations.
College students pursuing degrees in agricultural communications, communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, dairy or animal science, multimedia production, or related fields are encouraged to apply.

Holstein Foundation Youth Programs Intern

The Holstein Foundation Youth Programs Intern will support the Holstein Foundation youth development team in coordinating the Dairy Bowl and Dairy Jeopardy contests at National Holstein Convention. The intern will also assist with planning, participant and volunteer communication during National Holstein Convention, and support event planning and execution for the Dairy Data Academy.
College students pursuing degrees in dairy or animal science, agricultural business, communications, education, or related fields are encouraged to apply.

Additional Internship Details

Both internships offer:
  • Competitive hourly pay based on experience ($16-$18/hour)
  • Furnished housing provided in the Brattleboro, Vermont area for the duration of the internship
  • Transportation, meals, and lodging costs associated with required travel will be covered
  • Professional development opportunities and industry networking
Applicants must be available to work on-site in Brattleboro, Vermont for a 12-week period from mid-May to mid-August 2027 and attend the 2027 National Holstein Convention and Dairy Data Academy. Applications must be submitted by October 31, 2026.
