Anderson Joins DATCP

Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) Secretary Randy Romanski announced Timothy Anderson as Administrator of the Division of Food and Recreational Safety (DFRS).

“Tim has decades of experience in protecting public health, managing public sector teams, and collaborating to meet regulatory requirements,” said Romanski. “At DATCP, we aim to serve as a resource, and Tim has done that throughout his leadership roles at the agency. Tim’s strengths include goal-oriented work and maintaining effective partnerships. I know he’ll bring this to his new role as Administrator of the Division of Food and Recreational Safety.”

Anderson most recently served as the Administrator of the Division of Agricultural Resource Management. Prior to that role, he served as the Director of the DATCP Bureau of Land and Water. Before that, he served in DFRS for more than a decade in management roles including Dairy Section Manager, Field Services Section Manager, and Technical Services Section Manager.

“I am honored to continue to serve the public in the role of Administrator of the Division of Food and Recreational Safety,” said Anderson. “I look forward to working with stakeholders and partners to achieve our joint goals of safe food and recreation in Wisconsin.”

Anderson will fill the Administrator role following the departure of Adam Brock, who served in this role for the past two years. Anderson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in wildlife ecology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His first day as Administrator is September 6, 2026.
