Compeer Financial Returns $152 Million in Cash Patronage

Eligible member-owners of Compeer Financial will receive a share of $100 million in cash patronage this August.

Combined with the $52 million in allocated equities distributed earlier this year, the cooperative will return a total of $152 million to the farmers, agribusinesses, and rural homeowners it serves in 2026.

“Patronage is one of the most meaningful benefits of being part of a cooperative,” said Jase Wagner, president and CEO of Compeer Financial. “As a member-owned organization, our success is shared with the people we serve. Returning capital to our member-owners helps strengthen their operations while reinforcing our commitment to their long-term success.”

2026 Patronage Payouts:

  • Total patronage: $152 million (38% of 2025 adjusted earnings)

  • Allocated equities (distributed in February): $52 million

  • Cash patronage (distributed in August): $100 million

The cooperative uses patronage payouts to deliver value beyond competitive financial products and local expertise. Returning earnings directly to members strengthens rural businesses, supports local economies, and gives clients extra financial flexibility.

“Today’s agricultural and rural economy continues to present both opportunities and challenges,” said Wagner. “Whether our clients are investing in the future, navigating market volatility or planning for the next generation, we’re focused on providing the financial strength, expertise and partnership they need to move forward with confidence.”

A strong capital position and disciplined risk management allow Compeer Financial to invest in long-term growth while consistently rewarding its member-owners.
